College Station, Texas St. Joseph Regional Heath Center was looking for a way to expand their services further south into College Station, convenient to an area of rapid growth. A 7,200 square-foot urgent care center was decided upon, on land that is master planned for a full hospital. The Arkitex Studio was retained to provide design services for this small “temporary” building. Our challenge was to provide a facility that would set the design standard for the future hospital campus. The project was designed and built in four months. To speed construction, the building was designed so that it could be built in modules off site and trucked to the site. The exterior cladding (cut stone veneer and plaster) and finishes were installed on site. |
