Intern Fernando joined The Arkitex Studio in December of 2008 after earning his Bachelors of Environmental Design at Texas A&M University. Currently, he is working toward entry into a graduate program in architecture and will subsequently seek licensure. Fernando's past work experience includes internships with G.W. Mitchell and Sons General Contractors and Overland Partners Architects in San Antonio, Texas during his undergraduate studies. Fernando's main area of interest is sustainable, residential design. He has assisted with several residential projects while at Arkitex as well as with projects involving adaptive reuse, master planning and commercial design. As an active AIA Brazos member, Fernando has participated in Architecture in Schools, a program sponsored by AIA Brazos dedicated to educating students in area schools about the architectural profession and the value of design. |
