Northgate, College Station, Texas

The existing Baptist Student Center in Northgate had reached the end of its useful life. We were asked to design their new facility with flexibility in mind. The building is used for large and small gatherings: one large open space and several smaller spaces adjacent to it can be opened onto the larger space, or enclosed for smaller meetings. The second floor has a large commons area for informal gatherings and a large meeting room that can be divided into two separate spaces. The two-story, 12,000 square-foot building’s exterior is clad with brick veneer and cut stone. Clerestory windows in the large meeting rooms allow for a light and airy meeting space. Our client’s satisfaction was such that we were later chosen to design the Baptist Student Center in Nacogdoches, Texas.
